LaFrida Festivals Calendar

Get ready to celebrate the seasons as Pueblo Bonito’s LaFrida Restaurant hosts a series of themed festivals appropriate for different times of the year. The first set of culinary-inspired events will run September through December, and everyone’s invited. For all events, doors open at 5:30 pm with last-call entry at 9 pm.

Kicking things off, the restaurant will pay tribute to the national month and Mexico’s independence by serving chile en nogada—the dish shown above—made and reserved specially for this season. Order it in addition to a delicious set menu that features seasonal ingredients and recipes like corn and mole. But “Tribute to our Mexico” is just the beginning; read on for the other fall events.

On Friday, September 15th and Saturday the 16th, celebrate “Viva Mexico!” with a 5-course Mexican tasting menu.

On Friday, October 6th, join “Farm to Table into the Unique Mexican Experience” by tasting organic products from Todos Santos Farm that imbue the flavors of our Mexican ancestors.

On Thursday, October 12th, experience “Talents of Pueblo Bonito COP” with the top five chefs from the Pueblo Bonito Group sharing their best dish and original creation, emphasizing Mexican cuisine as art.

On Saturday October 21st, get a full sensory experience at the “Flavors of Mayan Cuisine by LaFrida.” Ingredients and recipes will follow traditions millions of years old.

On Wednesday, October 25th, take part in the “Corn Festival”, and pay tribute to corn and all of its adaptations. Taste the perfect yellow corn tortilla and countless other unimaginable preparations featuring corn.

On Thursday, November 2nd, celebrate “Dia de Muertos” with us by indulging in a 5-course tasting menu curated to honor the dead. The experience is sure to be visually satisfying as well, with one of the best “Altar de Muertos” in all Los Cabos.

On Friday, November 17th, discover the diversity and depth of cocoa at “The Cacao in the Mexican Gourmet” event. It’s an understated, yet central ingredient to countless Mexican recipes, like mole and popular desserts. On this night, cocoa takes the spotlight.

On Sunday, November 26th, celebrate “Día del Mole” with 12 different types of the sauce that’s said to have been created long ago. Taste today’s take on the original recipe that was born from a combination of seeds, tomatoes, chilies, and herbs.

On Saturday, December 9th, join us for an “Aztec” performance on the beach. The show, meant to transport views from a pre-Hispanic world to the present, will feature four great chefs offering a bovine feast between fire and swords. The Michelin level event will be an unforgettable night of torches, flames, violin, drums, and fine dining.

On Tuesday, December 12th, enjoy “Piano and Mariachi Night” with a sumptuous Mexican menu accompanied by live music.

On Sunday, December 17th, pay “Tribute to the Street Taco” at an event by that very name. Fold in the highest quality ingredients with unmatched techniques and get the best taco around. Join us for a night full of unbeatable flavors and aromas tucked into handmade tortillas, made local Mexican flair.

On December 24th, celebrate “Christmas Eve”, by relishing in a night of fine dining with unbeatable service and holiday cheer to make an unforgettable family Christmas dinner.

On December 31st, celebrate “New Year” with us. Dine in style on New Year’s Eve with a magical dinner boasting our gastronomical best as a toast to the year just ending and another beginning.

Finally, start the year right with a spectacular dinner we’re calling “New Beginnings” that features a tasting menu you’ve always dreamed of. Hungry? Contact the concierge upon your arrival to secure your table at any of these special events.

If you can’t make it to an event this season, fear not! This is an ongoing series at LaFrida. Each season will cover three months, with winter, spring, and summer to come. There will also be one special event per season and therefore, four big events a year. Come to one or to all! LaFrida is happy to host you.
